4.2 Virtual Clothing

Virtual clothing is virtual clothing that exists only online, such as virtual clothing sales using augmented reality (AR) or virtual clothing sales for avatars within the metaverse platform.

The Dutch startup Fabricant focuses on virtual design so much that its product planner is an augmented reality (AR) artist and has announced the recruitment of VR and AR experts on its official website. The company's chief designer says he plans to "create futuristic clothes that are not tied to physical space," and Fabricant sells virtual 'tailored clothes' at an auction.

Among them, the dress 'Iridescence', which was sold in June 2020, was known for $9,500 (KRW 11 million) and surprised the global fashion market.
